There’s a place I go when I am dreaming And I wanna go there right now. Green rolling hills and the smell of summer Let me take you there somehow. Since you’ve been in my life Since you’ve been in my life My eyes are filled with light Filled with you. Have you ever noticed How the sun shines In your best dreams when they come? Deep blue the sky goes on forever The horizons I can never touch Since you’ve been in my life Since you’ve been in my life My eyes are filled with light Filled with you And I ask myself, how did I find This strange tranquillity, this feeling devine? Only you can thread my needle Dot my eyes and light my fire And when I dream of my Ambrosia I am no longer all alone Since you’ve been in my life Since you’ve been in my life My eyes are filled with light Filled with you. Since you’ve been in my life Since you’ve been in my life My eyes are filled with light Filled with you, yes you, You’re in my life.

In the darkest night you'll see me staring from my window To the streets below, come driving rain or winter snow Too high, too high, I'm falling through the air And if I could fly I'd be away without a care. When the talking stops you know the game has just begun See the streetlamps glow like a blazing summer sun Round and round, my head it spins so fast I'm searching for a thought something to take my pain away And when the fallen angels call for me and take me away, You'll have your fill of them, so get on your knees and learn how to pray I know you know my name and what's more I don't give a damn How your dreams unfold, just like a vision of who I am My mind slips in and pulls my head away I see the noose before my eyes, I see the dawning of the day Time can pass so fast, I feel the watch twist on my wrist Just like a silent scream, you know I'm haunted by your kiss

Hourglass 02:38
How come I often hear you say that you understand When I know that you haven't followed half the things you've heard. If I could tear the wall down, do you think that would make you smile We could find some words to say, and talk for a little while. Don't you realise the time is quickly moving So visualise the sand of the hourglass in your hand. I make my own amusement, and sing to myself each day It fills the empty spaces when you're away. So take my sense of humour, and turn it inside out 'Till you see my form reflected in your mirror glass. When I hear the summer thunder, it's tinged with sadness When I think of my great achievement - your key left on the mat.

Blue/Grey 06:28
When I read my newspaper, you're right by my side, With your new book, hide the bookmark inside. Wearing your grey trousers and your blue top, I love you literally, and I'm not going to stop. See the weeds and flowers we picked in the wood, Where the trees surrounded us, on the spot where we stood. And the light as it changed from blue to grey, Then I know it was the end of a perfect day. You've worked your way into my life, You've worked your way into my life, And every day I feel this way, And so I say I need you. On top of a rocky ridge, you showed me a lake, All shrouded in mist, but that was the weather's mistake. Down, down to the valley, and as I looked at you, I noticed the sky turn from grey to blue. You've worked your way into my life, You've worked your way into my life, And every day I feel this way, And so I say I need you.

I saw your head try to turn As I felt my heart burn And I tried to look away. I know, that all those things you said were true Those things that I could never do How I wanted, how I yearned If this is the way, I'm looking straight at you If this is the way, but you don't feel that way too If this is the way, then we're lost And only time will heal, The pain that's so real My heart is an unlocked combination Filled with my anticipation Of what's supposed to happen now To us, as we reach the bitter end And the tears that never end Dissolve away our expectations

I watch the rainfall from my window, See clouds colour up the sky Why does it make me so reflective To see you go walking by? I want to know if you still love me like you used to do I want to hear those words from you, if they’re true I've heard so many strange things Different things from different people I don’t think I know what’s been going on Each day seems closer to that question The one I long to ask of you To find some space in your perfection For a lost soul with nothing to do I want to know if you still love me I want to hear those words from you, if they’re true I’ve heard so many strange things Different things from different people I don’t think I know what’s been going on Sitting here just waiting for you answer Sitting here just waiting for your call Sitting here just trying to understand Why I can’t get through to you I want to know if you still love me I want to hear those words from you, if they’re true I’ve heard so many strange things Different things from different people I don’t think I know what’s been going on I don’t think I know

about

This album is a collection of songs spanning my whole career in music. But songs that, for a variety of reasons, I'd never recorded before. Often this was because they didn't fit in the band I was in at the time, or where they got overlooked when demos were being recorded.

I was keen to make sure they didn't all get forgotten whilst I focused on being a father in the early 2000s. So I began to record them at home on my PC. I started with 'Since You've Been In My Life' - a song that had never really ever been completed.

Initially I didn't think that there would be an album, just a collection of recordings. But as I continued working on the recordings at home when time allowed, I realised I would end up with a lot of material. So the idea of an album came together, and once I'd recorded a bunch of songs, I chose the 12 that I was happiest with.
